The article called: "What Do Countries With The Best Coronavirus Responses Have In Common? Women Leaders" The author for this Forbes article: "Avivah Wittenberg-Cox" appears to be shoe horning women into history by cherry picking women that have done well with the Covid crisis in their countries. She says the countries with the best responses have women as leaders. There are many other countries that have done well without female leaders including Australia which is on the same course. So is Croatia, Serbia, The Netherlands, Austria and dozens of other countries around the world. South Korea has seemingly had the best response that many countries have modelled their response to and it has a male leader. This isn't a time to foist the congratulatory cooch of leadership over everybody's heads to create clickbait for a dying publication. But let me play a little game of devil's advocate here. I have a problem with the lack of inclusiveness and lack of multiculturalism in Avivah's article. For example all of the leaders are either white women from western nations and one token east Asian woman. Where is female leaders from more diverse backgrounds? For example the female leader from Namibia solved covicd quickly through a swift lockdown. Avivah Wittenberg-Cox the author of this article needs to be more inclusive instead of not putting the black female leader from Namibia on her list. This is disgraceful of her and she should be blacklisted, no pun intended from the journalism business. As for New Zealand, the Prime Minster Jacinda Ardern did take the most radical approach choosing to lockdown the country as quickly as possible. But this wasn't rocket science. When all of this started people asked me what should be done in back in the middle to end of February. I told everyone Canada needs to close the borders, stop all travel from outside the country and at that time there were still five to ten cases in the whole country. But we saw what happened in China at that time so where were the intelligence services to tell us to act quickly. At the end of January I got my face masks, in February I was stockpiling food, water and vitamins. Selling my investments early and getting cash and gold. I told people to do that because I saw governments wouldn't act quickly enough because it came down to greed and keeping the money flowing in as long as possible. I told people that if Canada had shut the borders back then we would need to focus on doing contact tracing for the few cases out there and contain this thing. Then keep the borders closed until other places also got it under control. The New Zealand Prime Minister in early May said the same thing about there being safe travel allowed between countries that also there would safe pockets around the world without the virus that could integrate each others economies again.
