Nope it's a name Romans gave to that land in order to make sure their empire forget about Israel.. UK which is the place where the Roman Empire died.. Kept it like that until 1948.. After Sionist pushed them to call it ISRAEL.. Because persecuted jewish survivors of Nazi camps pointed on the fact that the Jewish Genocide in Europe could have been avoided if France, UK reacted before Nazi Germany started their BlitzKrieg all over Europe.. And yup it's true it could have been avoided..

@Doggk: The UK, through Chamberlain, gave all kinds of consessions to Germany.He handed over Czechoslovakia, Austria, the Polish corridor, and colonies in Africa to appease Hitler and keep the Soviets and French at bay. Obviously it got out of hand because Hitler wouldn't have his thirst quenched by giving him more power. Chamberlain's plan of "peace at any price" failed miserbly, which got him kicked out when Leopold Amery (the shadow of Lord Milner) shouted across the floor of the House of Commons on 5/10/40 "In the name of God, go!"

@Doggk: I read a lot.Great book for the true history of the world is "Tragedy & Hope" by Carroll Quigley (1967). He was an insider who was one of Billery Clinton's professors. Its a 1300 page tomb that when released the establishment was like, "What the hell did you just do?!" Soon after he said it was just a joke. His book "The Anglo American Establishment" is pretty telling too. I've read Tragedy and Hope twice now. (pretty sick, huh?)

@GenerationLESS: You're a Reader so that's why ^^ I'm more a listener and watcher but I do read too.. Unfortunately I read most of the time in French.. And the best books are in English, not often translated to French.. But this is going to motivate me to read more in English ^^

@Doggk: No. It's the Roman philosophy: They refused to call Israel Israel so they called them Palestina. They refused to call Egypt by their native country and the same with Germania and Gaul. The Greeks whose education usurped the Roman elites the aristocrats were the Hellennites: Rome called their colonies at Capri "Foreigners" ie Grecia, so Capri became to them Graecia Minora and Hellennistine became Graecia Majora, which Greek is derived from. The same with Turkey: It was sort of known an Anatolia but they called it Euphasis... I think I misspelled that. Got to go soon though.

@Doggk: Don't sell yourself short. There's an archaeology book or two I had to get in French: I can read it but slowly. There's some Biochem papers and books in German not translated I wish I could read.
