5 gallons of methanol. (fun in the street car)

I understand many things.
I like this car.

I remember sitting in a Pizza Hut place, with my mother one one of her parental visitation nights - and we had stopped there on the way to her AA meeting and she was dropping me into the Alateen meeting..... And that was good.

And while we were eating, someone drove one of these top fuel drag racing cars, from the traffic lights, full power, down the centre of the two lanes each way main street of Ringwood, in Melbourne Australia...

There was just a fucking HUGE ROAR and by the time I turned to look - there was just a blue smokey haze from the tyres and exhaust.......

Can you Dig it? - Yes I can.

I can also appreciate the reasons why drag racing tracks have thick and heavy concrete barriers down each side of the track, AND why monster fast top fuel drag racing cars running ~4,000+ HP engines, ought not to be doing ~300 MPH along suburban roads, during gaps in the peak hour traffic.

Still the video is rather nice....

And greatly appreciated.

And these cars are pretty fucking good - in proper drag racing venues.
