Keeper -- if you personally think everything about tiny house is a shit deal, then of course that's definitely your opinion and Prerogative.

Albeit, anyone Considering Tiny Homes should genuinely Research to realize that there are many Designs & Types Options for Tiny/ Small homes & sq. footages. In example, Mobile / Trailer homes, RVs, Shipping Containers, House boats, Building your Own and the list goes on.

Therefore the Location , the type of Tiny home ( Mobile - on wheels, Floating on water or Affixed to Land - Purchased or Rented ), their Budget for Initial Investment & continued Maintenance afterward in Conjunction with their Personal needs should ALL be Taken into Account. Incidentally, people around the World do Actually find it Quite Affordable & Cheaper for a Tiny Home rather than a Conventional Home if they take ALL those mentioned Factors into Consideration and Plan accordingly.

However, All that Video did was list Obstacles to look out for or Worst-Case Downsides relative to Larger luxurious Living. The Cost Evaluation & Generalizing of ALL Tiny Homes is outright Misleading and a Lie!

Moreover, the video Completely ignores the Mindset, the Values, the Purpose, the Plans, and the Actual Experience of Most small Home dwellers. But the Host in that Video is a Real Estate Agent! So no surprise on her Bias since She and others in her Profession are Vested in making the Most Profit $$$ possible for Themselves in promoting Larger homes. The Satisfaction and Welfare of the people they're Advertising to is NOT their Goal nor Matters to them ... since that's not where the $$$ Money is. And that's their underlying Main concern; the Bottom line $$$ in their favor.

Thus, I'd take that Video's opinion on Tiny homes & it's related Lifestyle with a grain a Salt and suggest those Interested in Tiny Home living do their due Diligence in further research on their own.

you know what, your right. now i was originally into the tiny home thing about 5 years ago and learned as much as possible as i was seriously into the idea, but then i found better alternatives down the road for my needs. the reason why i personally like the earthship designs or the dome designs is mostly due to the fact that after you purchase it, that you get almost everything free when it comes to the utilities such as your cooling, heating, electricity, water management, and you get plenty of space to live and grow. the only thing imo that tiny homes have over earthships is they can go anywhere and be easily moved around where you want to put them. but if i choose a good location to have my earthship or dome home than there is no reason to leave. the earthships can be costly upfront, but if you consider that while you are living in it that you end up paying pretty much zero in most your basic needs within a home, that overall price is considered nothing and it continues for the rest of your life in that house. can you imagine not needing to pay for anything on your car while your paying for the initial cost and continuing not needing to pay after it's all payed off? like that is insane savings in comparison to both conventional homes and even these tiny homes. but i respect your comment, it does bring up some things that this video didn't talk about and your right, that lady absolutely has made it her point to all the bad things in order to prop up her business.

One of my preferred tiny home sketches is 21' W x 21' H x 32' L.

My second preferred design is 16' H x 21' W x 21' L.

If smaller, I would just live in sometjing akin to a garage with a bathroom.

I never saw the sense of people getting into debt to mortgage a...tiny home.

Just an observation.

The one that they showed with the two million worth, had more to do with the land in the house itself.
