Could it be the democratic government wanted to protect some of Warren Buffett's BNSF business?
I watched that segment with the railroad worker and the conditions are far from acceptable to me. Nobody should be on call year round.
As with any venture based on Government/Corporate greed and dishonesty, it will get worse (as in Grind To A Halt) before it gets better. Besides, as Happy Humble Hermit just alluded, the world, in various levels (as China is showing us), is about to enter another, possibly more severe, lockdown, so it won't matter, if everything comes to a grinding halt anyway.
