It's easy.... it's only BIG and HEAVY.... A hydraulic engine stand designed for truck engines, that enables height adjustment and rotation would be very handy.

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: the point was that to even check the spark plugs you have to remove a ton of stuff, same for changing the oil (looks like you would have to remove the entire engine from the truck)... cab overs are a pain in the ass tobegin with... imagine having to try to check the oil filters as wellsince they are behind the radiator and cannot be gotten to even with the cab flipped up... even if you are below it, the oil filters would be hard to get to.

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: however if the engine was taken out and put on a engine cradle/swivel that might make things easer but still... just as easy to rebuild the thing completely lol

@sbseed: It's a diesel...... Spark Plugs = None. 38:35 - Filling the engine with oil by a front fill port. Sump plug - bottom of the sump pan, inside and outside view: 19:30 --------- time is money and if this truck takes 3 hours to service, and the competitions truck takes 1 hour to service - because it's easy to work upon, then that adds to the loss of time to earn and the cost of running..... I dunno about the servicing and oil changes, but lets say the engine is good for 1,000,000 Km and a full oil change and filters has to be done every 10,000 Km then that is 100 oil changes, and 300 hours off the road, while the other truck is 100 hours off the road..... If you have to make money to pay off the truck, the over heads and all the other expenses, losing 200 hours on top of the competition = a lot of expense. I'd imagine that the oil filter is really easy to get too and change.

@sbseed: I did try looking up the process of performing an oil change, and location of the oil filters, but could not find the manual or any other information on it. The truck had a 4 digit model number on the side of the cabin, absolutely no luck.... mercedes cab over etc., That does look like an oil filter housing at the start of the video, in the starter image... At 26:08 one of them brings the oil filter housings - or the mounts for them, out to the motor.... then at 30:25 - the fuel filters go on.... ----------- Found them: https://www.mercedes-benz-truc....ks.com/en_IE/owner/r ----- Fucking Useless. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/....Mercedes-Benz_LP-ser //////// https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/....Category:Mercedes-Be ////////// https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_SK //////// https://commons.wikimedia.org/....wiki/Category:Merced ////////// https://commons.wikimedia.org/....wiki/Category:Merced ----------- Found it: https://upload.wikimedia.org/w....ikipedia/commons/thu //////// https://www.pdfmanual4trucks.com/mercedes-benz/ Unless I strike it lucky and search really deep.... Even Mercedes are absolute fuckholes to deal with.... I am ending the search - too much time.

at least they have gaskets for each of the headers themselves...
air intake is completely different than other engines...
the closest thing i have seen is formula 1 or similar race car engines, still extremely different setup.
