Airplane catches fire, forced to land after hitting geese
An American Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing while on fire after a ‘bird strike’.
The flight, traveling from Ohio to Phoenix on Sunday morning, reportedly struck a flock of geese, and the impact took out one of the plane’s engines. Footage captured by passengers shows the engine on fire post-collision, with the fire spreading to the wing.
The plane abruptly returned to its original destination, and amazingly no injuries were reported. Apart from the poor geese, obviously.
