The word jabr (root jubara) has a number of meanings in ordinary Arabic, two of which are relevant here.
The first is “to reduce a fracture”3, while the second, which is more general, is “to force, to compel”4.
READ: THE MORE GENERAL MEANING FOR JABR IS 'TO FORCE OR COMPEL"
Algebra -> Al Jabr -> The Force. Either way, it is an act of putting something together from many parts... The Force.
Invented by a muslim-persian in the arab empire. Sit with that for a moment.
'Algebra' is an Arabic word. Al="The' and Gebra ="Force". So in Arabic, the word 'Algebra' means "The Force" :)
