Not an unquestioning dolt who swallows all the bullshit from AA, and the vast array of characters in it.

In some ways, "AA" is both A solution and THE problem in it's self.

People being what they are.

I have come to see that the counter point to addiction is like this:

1. You can be like a hoarder of shit - until your buried in it.

Or

2. You can learn to bring the good stuff in and to take the rubbish out.

Some people who go to AA with mutual assistance, can really turn their lives around - BUT most of the people who turn up to AA, are like crabs in a crab pot.

You have to pick and choose who you connect with and why, and for good solid reasons.

Being popular is not a good reason.

You also need a few good counterpoints against the people in AA.... To sharpen ones perception so to speak.

Group Think is dangerous.

Almost all of it comes down to what are you doing to mind your own business, and to get drug free and stay drug free by doing what it takes to work your way, through your own issues, and to be a decent person to everyone else around you - to put in the effort to make the world a better place.

Stay away from the people who gossip and stay out of the gossip.

Here are my words on this website:

https://orangepapers.eth.limo/

What is the REAL A.A. success rate?

Out of each 1000 newcomers to A.A., how many will pick up a one-year sobriety medallion a year later? Or ever?
And how many will get their 2-year, and 5-year, and 10-year coins?
How about 11 years and 21 years?

HINT: the answers are here and here and here.
