Amazing Restoration Of CAT 6 Cylinder Engine

This is actually just a fairly shit, bottom dollar, "keep it going" rebuild. Basically it's an old engine and all they did was strip it, clean it, put in NEW possibly oversize piston rings, they didn't rebore it and put in new pistons, or even lap the bores....

And they re-used all the high tensile bolts that take an initial stretch or set, and ought to never be reused, because they stretch even more when tightened up a seond time....

I didn't see them reseat the valves, even with a light grinding lap, etc., it was just a resurrecting of an old smokey engine with a new set of rings.....

So it's a bottom $ keep it going rebuild job... not "an amazing restoration"......

Still all things considered, it was salable in a country that has zero to shit pollution controls and laws, and it would be a good replacement engine for someone with fuck all money, and you didn't mind buying a bit of extra motor oil on a regular basis....
