Comment: I've said that lying is the 'child of murder'. The rationale is simple. Both instances take some part of life. Lying and slander are meant to deny some aspect of life while murder takes the life and denies ALL aspects of life. Devaluation, as Beck points out, is the same principle although Michael hit the idea a little bit too hard with his message title. The consequence is the same; reduced participation in life viz. injustice.
