Another sandstorm hits Iraq

Another sandstorm hit Baghdad, leading to 4,000 suffocation cases in the Iraqi capital. The sand has covered a large part of the city’s skyline, and dozens of patients were taken to Yarmouk Hospital with respiratory problems. The sandstorm is believed to be caused by soil degradation in the country, as well as severe drought and reduced rainfall linked to climate change.
