It can cause a sense of isolation or emotional disconnect from the rest of the world. The numbness can be unbearable for many people who experience it.

For most men, this is the state where they think they should be, after all, men do NOT have to show emotions...

However, this is exactly why they are utterly wrong.

Being numbness is NOT how you achieve emotional mastery. Being numb is, just one of the stages you need to go if you really want to achieve emotional mastery.
