Benin suffers significant increase in terrorist attacks in 2022

The West African nation of Benin witnessed 25 terrorist attacks by Al-Qaeda and IS-linked jihadist groups in 2022. That’s more than a tenfold increase from the previous year, according to a conflict-monitoring NGO in the region.
