These modern games should be entirely free if you need an account to sign into launcher. You are paying them for worthless digital content and they sell your data for a massive profit. Buying any digital game product is basically paying for NFTs.
Use Steamunlocked instead. Only support indie games who have respectable pricing models without an entire list of DLCs and all that.

Oh that's cute. I'm playing Fallout 3 with 50 mods including a total redesign of female characters. No online connection. No cash shop. Modders are more talented than modern game devs. I bet these female 'devs' wouldn't even be able to get Nexus Mod Manager functioning correctly. I'm over here opening mod programs to learn how it works for free. While these women pay to go to college on men's tax dollars.

Skyrim; same. They make woke games, the modders turn these into us what we really want to play, even bbuilding quests, endings, areas, and characters. Modded Mass Effect 3 was way better than the studio verson, and it cost nothing to me but a little time and tinkering.

@DutchCobbler: I really enjoy seeing how it works in the edit programs. I even changed some things myself. Do you have any bouncing boob mods? Look on Youtube for a good video - Mox Skyrim.

@Toki: I've applied 'physics' mods like HDT to everything but blood. I'm a fan of tinkering with Hex editors, but let the modders do most of he heavy lifting. I really like Mod Organizer. It pretty much fool proofs modding and allows profilles for multiple mod configurations.

I don't even care about this when you look at modern AAA games pricing. Wow for example preying on children with $30 panda monk pets in the exclusive cash shop. For pet battles which is part of the game and the cash shop pets are very powerful, overpowered compared to those that don't pay for pets. Then there's mount as well. Paying for mods. Also paying for tokens which is paying for Wowcoin (gold.)
Then you have to buy Overwatch to install it. And pay for skin mods. Or you could just get Honey Select and get free skins for OW waifus and Warcraft elves. I got a bombing Alexstrasza.

"If they do this it means other companies do this"

Other companies have been doing this for DECADES, my dude. Same story, different company.

@SolusVir: Even women are making soy face in that pic. meanwhile, women in 2007. True Story, Jade Raymond was propped up unwittingly as the face of that company and Assassin's Creed. She didn't seem to want the limelight and was thrashed for it by the public.

They can do whatever they want. They will just be throwing money away. No one will buy these games. The people they are catering to don't play games and they certainly don't buy them. Most of them don't even have jobs. Meanwhile, parallel industries are on the rise and will soon replace these companies with ones that will make products that actually meet market demands. If they keep running their companies as though Twitter were real life, they will be utterly destroyed. It's "stakeholder capitalism" and it is doomed to fail.
