I like being appreciated for what I do sometimes. I just wish people actually did appreciate it though. My problem with women today is they don't appreciate it and they don't return it. They don't treat men like people with their own desires, dreams, likes, and dislikes. They've been trained to view men's preferences as perverted or misogynistic.

Some of us are genuinely nice guys...not because we're pussies or we need validation, but because we really do care about the well-being of people. As I've gotten older, that has been BEATEN out of me, particularly by women. Now I just want to be left alone and to not have to pay other peoples' bills...which I can't even have that. That's why Alaska is so appealing.

I think wanting some validation is quite healthy. It keeps societies running, yes sir it does, and it's natural to being a social animal. The problem we face in today's society as men is that healthy levels of validation for pro-social behavior is just not available. We're hated and scorned just for being men. Whatever a man is, is a perverted, horrible thing in today's world. Society simultaneously wants us to be industrious and shame us for being more industrious than women.

So, I get what you're saying here TFM. Mostly I agree - men have to learn to serve themselves and love themselves and define their own place in the world. The last bit seems to start around age 30, where men get this urge to settle down/find their place after adventuring/fucking around in their 20s. Then they go on this search for what that place is, find it, and then spend the next 10-15 years obsessively building their kingdom.

Yes. When an intense self identity & value system.. 'family man's is suddenly destroyed and ripped from tou...you are left in limbo. It's easy to simply be like one of the 'walking dead. I've seen it.
Society couldn't care less.
You become invisible to everybody.
You must find a new purpose & self worth.
Men are built to overcome and triumph
When we can still think, fight and regain our own worth...we can win.
'Society's is broken & corrupted.
We can't rely on it...as men we are ignored. That's why mgtow is such a powerful mindset. We know we aren't alone. Men know we are right.
That rebuilds our pride and focus.
Best of luck to you all
