‘Cameroonians are suffering from German colonization’ – African tribal king’s descendant
The great-grandson of the King of Cameroon's Douala community, who was executed by the German colonial administration in their campaign there a century ago, has spoken with RT about the impact of European colonialism on his family and the African continent.
The Cameroon campaign took place during the First World War in 1914, when British, French and Belgian forces invaded the German colony. Descendants of the Douala King say the consequences still affect modern Cameroon to this day.
