After killing of a prominent Palestinian journalist during an IDF raid, Israel has decided to stop any investigation due to potential “political consequences”.

Since the killed journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh, was an American citizen, and the administration has openly stated it trusts Israel in its ability to conduct a thorough investigation, the question arises if Israel has the liberty of killing the US journalists?
