There are about two dozen Arab countries, and only one of them is a real democracy. Arab countries are average IQ countries, i.e. having an average IQ of 85, which is the world average, so cannot compete with the high IQ countries, e.g. Europe, US, Russia, and the east Asian countries. Arabs are still stuck in their religious phase of mental development, not yet seeing religious ideas as prescientific superstitions, as human fictions, that make no rational nor scientific sense. When a scienate western thinker hears Arab religiosity, he winces and ignores. The culture gap is too great.
