China’s new Foreign Minister begins his term with major Africa trip

Beijing’s new foreign minister, Qin Gang, has begun his term with a major trip to Africa, where he praised a new ceasefire deal in Ethiopia. It’s been a tradition for top Chinese diplomats over the past three decades to travel to Africa during their first year in office.
