They have probably had to work their fucking arses off, and put him through school and although school is not a definition of success, according to them, AFTER all the hard work they have put in to raise him, to find him down the internet cafe goofing off instead of studying, is worthy of a "Fuck You - Insolent Bastard Son" style beating. I mean - the kid could go to school and do well enough in life... or he could be a fucking drop out and become a criminal, or he might be really good at IT and do well like that. Or he just might not see any sort of a future for himself and has just given up.... Either way, a good beating can be helpful. Other times, not so much.

Growing up in Britain in the 1970's the most terrifying thing my mother could say to me was, wait till your father gets home. I remember it was also a popular cartoon on tv at the time.
