i know exactly what salty is talking about, i was a part of a company who purchased tickets to a movie for the entire workforce to make it seem the theaters were packed for that movie, because the movie wouldn't sell just by itself as it was a forced political indoctrination movie meant to appear popular to the masses.
i can't remember what that movie was right now, but i remember getting the ticket and going to it and coming to this realization after watching it.
it's like going to a lame ted talk you don't want to go to, but are being forced to go and it appears to be a treat to go to it, but it was all about making it seem like it was popular and people wanted to go, it's all political bullshit theater manipulation to get you there.
