A General Studies degree is ok under the following conditions:
1. It's an Associate's degree.
2. You plan on transferring from the Community College you get it at to a four year university to earn a Bachelor's.
3. Your financial aid package rewards you more for having an Associate's degree.
4. You want or need maximum flexibility to choose classes that are conducive to your transfer.
And it goes without saying: choose a Bachelor's that has a job attached to the end of it.
