Control line tragedy - Does anyone ever remember doing this?

Yeah that's good... I tried to give it a go and my old man was too busy being a prick who left me to die in the gutter, rather than participate or support me in this endeavour...... Oddly enough it was my older sister who got me the gear and tried to help out but she lived 1000K away, and my old man just left me for dead... Most disappointed, but this will not stop me from doing it now.

Yeah no point complaining - it was enjoyable building it, crashing is part and parcel of flying, and making another one and being a better flyer is also part and parcel of flying... LOL It's still kind of shit when it crashes but.... That was a really nicely built aircraft...

The writer of the story with the video said the engine was tuned and set up in cold old England, near sea level, and the engine ran like shit because of the high altitude and high temperature - compared to the UK.... Unless they just pulled it out of the travel bag, and were unaware of the effects of significant changes in altitude, that is one issue, but retuning it, would mean leaning it off slightly with a partial turn of the needle jet.... like guessing here, 1/4 to 1/3 of a turn inwards... My ear was not attuned to the sound of the motor and how well it's running... Have not worked on them for like 44 years....
