First competitor flying at the scale and semi scale control line event at Hard2000, Siggenthal, Switzerland. He came all the way from England, the flight started off pretty well but ended in tragedy. Possible causes for the lack of engine power were the combination of higher altitude and temperature vs the UK where the model was set up and tuned.

hah, dumbass... the most exciting thing about this, also this is not meant to be a public sport of some kind because it is boring as watching grass grow or paint dry....
must the same sort that love to watch nascar, oh look something going around in circles, the only interesting thing about either is the crashes and those do not happen often enough to keep me interested....
as a family think or a dad and kid in their backyard that is great and fun because whoever is actually involved in doing it and possibly helping/teaching their kid and spending time together etc. but watching is fucking boring.
Yeah did that for a bit with my dad. One time he got dizzy and let go. That plane went further than I would have guessed.
Done that before but much smaller plane. Always sad when such nice toys are destroyed but its an opportunity to rebuild better. The engine didn't sound right at all. Should have aborted.
