We here in the states might still have the "death penalty"...but we sure as shit don't implement it more!!!

Around my area the Iroquois were very creative with killing someone they thought should die. Although I think that was just the nature of North America at that time. Whether it was the natives or settler's thing's were generally brutal. Even sport's were brutal at that time.
