Detained Palestinians in Gaza forced to strip down to underwear

Video published on Thursday appears to show over 100 Palestinian men stripped down to their underwear and made to sit in the middle of the street after having been detained by IDF troops. Photos have also been published showing men kneeling in a line against a wall, and in an empty field.

Israeli media reported that the men were ‘suspected Hamas militants’ who had surrendered, while one Arabic news outlet claims its reporter was among the captured men. In a statement on its website, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed (The New Arab), reported that Diaa Al-Kahlout was among dozens of men arrested, along with many of his relatives. The detained men were reportedly forced to strip and then searched before being taken to an unknown location.
