Beside his Spaghetti Westerns, the Dirty Harry "franchise" (of which I've owned all of them for years) are some of Eastwood's best work. Almost like he's really serious about the state of SFPD, and the nation in general. If the initial symptoms of liberalism crept in back then during the '70s, when he met resistance at every turn to do his job properly, as in the first Dirty Harry, he'd probably toss away his badge repeateddy today.
