Divine - He was an American export.... When I was early teens - things were very hard and he came bursting onto the music scene in Australia - and the songs were fun - and the normies went insane - which I thought was tremendously good value..... The songs were great, and - while Divine's life was a fucking train wreck.... he got up and did his performances anyway.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divine_(performer) It's quite a story actually - Actually only really enjoyed the songs, as long as you don't think about the disaster area of a person who wrote and performed them, and sang along with your brain in neutral..... HIS life was a fucking disaster.... I would not choose him as a life skills coach or councillor... It's just that very narrow scope of his performances on TV - were good. Everything else was just fucking bullshit.... He was a crazy fucked up person - a product of a crazy fucked up family and society - who made lots of shitty decisions, on the basis of his inhereted understanding of the universe.... He wasn't a 100% write off as a human being - but as a grossly obese, 4 or 5 year old with an old face.... Maybe his mother was a molester, maybe he was a selfish prick because they indulged him, into an unhealthy human being..... I kind of regard Divine as something like fucking a woman who is full of VD - over the longer term, you end up being very glad that you wore the condom.... You know what I mean.... So there you have it... a very narrow focus on appreciating the little things... in regards to the rest of his life, I would not like to be involved with him, for any reason - I would not want to have anything to do with him.... But I am grateful that he went out of his way to make the couple of really brilliant songs that were fun to sing along with - as long as you could switch your brain off and not think about the realities of the person who wrote the lyrics.. and just how fucking insufferably toxic that guy really was.
