I don't know about 'anything', but I'm basing this only on the context presented. Filters exist, discretion exists, independence as we each define it exists, anonymity exists, and all serving purposes. I just sense that without further context this is an odd take. My belief is that nobody can be fully trusted because everyone is fallible. To strip that into a nice neat black and white manner, to compartmentalize: I look at each thing (pick your noun: secret, thought, opinion, etc) as they are presented and determine by my judgement if it is or isn't worth sharing with that person. My doctor may need to know my bathroom habits more than my best friend, but I only trust my friend with my house keys.
With women, love doesn't mean trust. If anything, women prove all too often that to love them is to invite betrayal by them, and that love will be tested (which is where the infatuation fallacy plays out). Not even blood relatives can be trusted, and saying 'anything' to them can have catastrophic consequences. The aforementioned discretion becomes a necessary ingredient to any successful relationship. Love and disclosure are not equatable.
