I guess Grandma just couldn't wait to get to the store! lol! i used to service and repair Wheel Chairs and those funny little 3 wheel disability Car's and the occupant of the chair was always encouraged tyo check and place if possible, their own brakes. i guess this old domineering mother I guess had the guy so wound up and confused doing shit for her that he just forgot to apply the brakes?...........................Or did he? lol!

"Yeah old people fall down the stairs all the time" - like who would know. She will scream like all fuck... but I thought / vaguely recall that the brakes were easy to apply.... More the grab on and hold fast, and then unlock.. rather than being hard to apply the brakes. Maybe she had dementia... What ever... It's one of those situations where it's "Hmmmmmm just enough slope to to not turn your back on it".
