The problem with dumb phones are the signal it can support. Many are still rely on 2G & 3G when governments are pressuring Telcos to go for 5G. The government will terminate the legacy spectrum license if they want to be awarded with 5G.

Yeah it's a bit of a sleazy marketing trap. "Going Oh so super cheap - Fabulous Bum Fuck Phones! Only $89.99" - still running on 3G and that is being phased out 4 months from now - the last vestigages of the network and getting shut down permanently..... That's the clause in the invisible ink, on the contract, inside the sealed packet. Cunts..
