The Sauerkraut Soup recipie, is a brilliant base - as in a soup by it's self.

But you can add so much more.

Cooking the sauerkraut LAST - while all the longer cooking ingredients get tossed in a timed fashion, so the sauerkraut is the very last thing just before serving.... so it's as crisp and scrunchy as possible.

You can add meat, sausage, and a ton of other things.

I enjoy watching his content. I'm going to try this with a few modifications. Thankfully I'm not on a U-boat and have more things to put into it.

I was fantasizing about making a big bucket of saeurkrat - Cabbages should all be in season soon and a DECENT stainless steel bucket or two would be a good thing... I think I could eat it for a week... Meat and 1 or 2 Kg a day of Sauerkraut..... Yummy. People talk all this stupid trending superfood... but the humble cabbage IS a superfood..... It's brilliant....

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: I was thinking of trying similar here. Although cabbage won't be ready until later in the year.
