EU agrees on Russian gas price cap despite opposition from 9 states

After weeks of negotiations, EU has agreed to set the price cap on wholesale gas at €180/MWh which Russia and several other bloc members have opposed, saying it will make it harder to secure much-needed supplies of natural gas.
