[Up Vote] In my old age, I had dreams of making electric flying vehicles. The problems became evident in 2020 that people aren't responsible enough to fly. The electric problem also created a need for new types of batteries that could produce the power and allow recharge without blowing up! I decided the problems were too many, and that gasoline (petrol) would be the best power source for electric motors.
I woulodn't even buy an EV bike, because in the UK you are limited by LAW to a 250w motor and a max speed of 12 MPH. Yet I have an old push Bike I can get up to 15/20 MPH on the flat for nothing! lol! It has these things called GEARS use them like the gears in a car you can easily get a good speed up, but noone thinks of using the gears do they?
My Canadian Cousin (long passed now), when she live in Canada in the 1940's and fifties used yo put her car in the garage and then cover the engine with an electric blanket to keep it warn overnight. she never had a battery problem with her old 1938 Buick.
Where the government are concerned they are the future. they are badly Flaws, They are unreliable, not fit for purpose - The Government that is! lol! but back to EV's. They are NOT the future, They are badly flawed, aand not fit for purpose, this time I mean EV's! This EV thing is part of governemts plans to remove personal transport and mobility, like the deluded NET ZERO thing. they can never get there because Humans themselves are Carbon based! lol! what they are looking to do regarding NET ZERO is the hope everyone will give up with ICE's or car's in general and we slip back to the Dark ages , then they will start on the Horse being not NET ZERO as it pull's a cart! lol! the world is suffering from Mass psychosis at the moment due to a lack of ORDER and common sense, humans in relying on TECH have given away their Birth Right to be free and sentient our of :LAZINESS, spear headed by feminism destroying the weakest CUNT's in Society. Back to EV's the are a SCAM just like NET ZERO, a money making pile of BULLSHIT.
