I used to work for the ford Truck assembly line and on the tire line when one of those fuckers blew the whole plant would shake. luckily they has a steel cage over the inflation conveyor belt area.
Yeah - in Australia - there were the old Split Rims, sort of a plain but lipped rim, that has another rim ring goes between the rim lip and the tyre... and these were notorious for blowing off when being inflated - and the ring would fly off and cup peoples heads off etc.. so it became law that when a new tyre was put on the rim, they could only be inflated inside of very heavy and strong cages...
