is that right. well these are amazingly strong structures, even considering how they are built. you could bury them and then drive on them with hundreds of thousands of pounds. it's really crazy, they are also fire proof and hurricane proof tornato proof can handle all weather and are earthquake proof. and just like the earth ships they are also much cheaper to heat and cool and will keep costs down. i mean with earthships it's pretty much free heating and cooling, but if that's not your style than these are a second best bet to go with.
@Pulsar357: these could be built in much of the same way, but some features would obviously be a bit different, like they could be buried partailly and could add all the same features as an earthship and it might feel like you have more head space, but they might not use the tire wall, i mean you could but it wouldn't be needed for the most part. but i love the idea of passive heating and cooling and water collecting with the earth ships.
@Pulsar357: i forgot it eliminates your bills other than the cost of the house being built, unless you just purchased an already built one. like some folks complain in how expensive some of these can go, but if you consider you will never pay for water, electricity, heating, cooling, or need to shop for your produce, than you got one hell of a great place and a much better deal then 99% of people who live in regular homes because they have to pay for all of these things.
@Pulsar357: and sure the batteries can be limiting, but you can always purchase a few more if you want more power and they last up to 20 years before they need replacing or you could install a windmill to supplement the power usage or if you build your earthship near a creek, you could create your own make shift hydroelectric generator. when it comes to off grid living, there are many options that could help you continue to live comfortably.

Kinda looks like one of those capsule houses from Dragonball.
