Fake black activist exposed

Few days after the scandal, Rachel Dolezal resigned of her position at NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) and was removed from her ombudsman position at the Spokane Police Office. Three years later Dolezal was charged with second-degree perjury and felony theft by welfare fraud. She received assistance between 2015 and 2017 as a unemployed black woman while she had been receiving tens of thousands of dollars in unreported income. To avoid a sentence of up to 15 years in jail, she made a deal to refund the benefits and pay 120 hours of community service.
