I don't even know where to get McD's quality meat at another store. Because it's some odd tofumeat or something. Soy, insects, it's hard to say. Maybe go to a butcher's shop and ask if you can have all their leftover trimmings and make ground "mechanically processed" meat which is what I've heard McD's meat is. I'm sure it has soy and bugs as well though. Filler because the beef and pig leftover trimmings still costs more than than bugs and soybean.
People used to make water bladders from animal's stomachs and other organs. Now it's used for "mechanically processed" cheap meats. It's all over in sausage sticks also. Which are oddly expensive considering how nasty they are. You know the corporate brand types like Jack Links.
What really sucks is this type of meat is used for everything. Pizza sausage meat, pepperoni, bologna, chicken nuggets/patties, Lunchables, all restaurants basically, and don't forget fish. Fish sticks are weird. All the fish guts covered in breading then frozen. The only real meat is at a grocery store or butcher and it's still suspect as far as I'm concerned.
