Flight canceled after floor pooing incident
Passengers of budget airline easyJet were left appalled, outraged and slightly smelly after their flight was delayed due to a misplaced poo. The flight from Tenerife to the UK had already been delayed once and passengers assigned to another plane (which was smaller, and therefore required ‘persuading’ some passengers to leave), when the flight’s captain dropped the bad news over the intercom. ‘[Someone] found it entertaining to defecate in the front toilet,’ he said, although technically the offending excrement had been deposited next to the front toilet. In order to thoroughly clean the offending poo, the flight was delayed again, forcing passengers to seek accommodation in a ‘reasonably priced room’ that’s ‘about three stars or equivalent.’ Said rooms did not exist due to high demand, leaving many spending the night in the airport.
Unsurprisingly, no one was happy. Many found the way easyJet had handled the situation, and the rather insensitive way the poo was brought to light, to be a bit, well, poo. The delay itself was already delayed by three and a half hours owing to problems with the other, bigger, less poo-filled plane, and many were left questioning why the staff couldn’t have used that time to find some soap and water.
