Is there a fresh food market close by that sells bags of fruit and vegetables in 3 to 5 Kg lots? 2 or 3 Kg of apples = 10 apples / pears / bananas / oranges etc.. these are good on long walks and sliced up with a little something like greek yogurt and peanuts for desert..
The other things can be added to it are dry crunchy muesli and even tinned fruit - in natural juice, there are heaps of things....
Love cooking.
You can make asian soup with that... just crumb up the mince say a golf ball of it, in a small pot, half filled with slow boiling water, leave it sit for 5 or 10 minutes... and then add a big handful of frozen mixed vegetables (3 minutes cooking) some fish sauce / soya sauce, and then add finely mushroom (2 minutes) and then finely sliced bell peppers and or hot / mild chilli / onions / garlic for a minute, and then toss in a handful of spinach - when your about to serve...
You can substitute the beef with pork, chicken, fish, shellfish, tofu, etc....
Add the spaggettie for noodles etc.. And the bread to soak up the soup.
Soups are fast and easy - if you really work at it, you can do one in like 5 minutes..
A big bowl of fresh soup... fantastic....
You can add chick pease - or Homus as a fortifier to get thickness and body to the soup, tinned beans, etc.. or presoak the hard ingredients overnight...
I like lentils, but I don't why, but they make my arsehole itchy...
Straight milk gives me fungal infections across the feet - but powdered milk does not.
I thought eastern Europeans picked wild mushrooms from the forest. I'd be disappointed if the store only had the usual mushrooms.
