Genius teen generates electricity from stones
You can’t get blood from a stone, but it turns out you can get electricity from one, as a teenage prodigy in Nigeria has shown. Apprentice electrician Oladeji Ayomide, also known as Tolani Danger, has wowed the internet with a video demonstrating his scientific skills. Ayomide has been able to wire up a stone to generate electricity, and used it to power his home. He now plans to develop his invention in order to bring power to areas without a conventional electricity source, while fans have called on the government to fund his inventions further.

Well rocks are just big blocks of chemicals that have sort of stabilised into a state, until further electro-cemical process's reduce them even further into less reactive compounds and elements.
I have some idea of what is going on, and I see no reason why rocks of different compositions cannot be sliced into thin plates and with suitable combinations and electrolytes, cannot be turned into batteries.
