A powerful lesson ... learn to be alone without being lonely. Easier said than done for many extroverts. (Glad I am an introvert.)

Noting that a good deal of what we think and say about others is actually a reflection/projection of ourselves, might it be that your eloquent yet melancholy prose are indicative of a not-so successful search for "Innate Meaning" in life? Your locus of validation may be internal, which would allow/force you to create your own sense of meaning...a very resolvable dilemma.

Upon my demise shed not a tear
My possessions released my grip l fear
Give them nothing l no more desire
Send a ship a Nordic funeral prye
For all the final fire… free of mortal skin
The femon a past lust and sin…
