Giant ancient scroll discovered in Egypt

Good news, archaeologists have dug up an ancient Egyptian scroll inscribed with spells from the Book of the Dead. The scroll, made of ancient papyrus, is the second longest to ever be discovered, and measures over 16 meters in length.

The scroll was discovered last year in Cario’s Saqqara necropolis and has been undergoing extensive restoration work since May. That might be code for ‘we accidentally read it out loud and all the mummies came back to life,’ at this point it is too early to tell.
