The banana may or may not grow. It's kinda big for a transplant, but worth a try. Cutting off the older leaves and only leaving on 2 young leaves will give you a better shot.

The big leaves will sick up all the energy, preventing the new roots to form. The bananas could be a good get

Thanks for the tip. I took the nasty one out, guess I'll do the same to the others.

@The Man Inside: You should also keep it out of direct sun for 2 weeks. Until you see new leaves. If the leaves start looking wimpy, cut them in half so they don't need as much energy. Good luck

@red maple: I may arrange something to keep it somewhat out of the sun. My neighbour didn't come to pick one, this yard is getting overcrowded, becoming absurd. Driving up the mountains tomorrow and I'll abandon the remaining 3 over there. Whatever happens, happens. My stock of fucks to give is almost depleted. https://www.mgtow.tv/watch/ano....ther-lesson-learned_

I thought citrus peels were not to go in compost because they don't assist the decomposition but hinder it. Am I misinformed?

I don't know. Lemon i don't use, but orange... it will eventually rot away. Don't take advice on farming from me. I'm one of those fools trying to learn how to grow food, I know nothing about farming.
