Grim Rants: Do You Sometimes Hear Your Waifu Talking To You? Well, You Might Not Be Crazy After All!
Game: Nitro Plus Blasters (I picked Saya because I have a really elaborate figurine of her on my shelf. Loved Song Of Saya. It was beautiful, yet terrifying.)
So this one is a little bit woo. However, I think there's really something to what David Abram is trying to say here regarding animism and objects. The mind is a truly intriguing thing, and I think that if our ancestors heard voices within the stones and rivers, then if we happen to hear our waifu's voice during the day, we aren't exactly ready for the funny farm. Also, the bit about talking to our refrigerators and Alexa certainly seems to drive home man's need to talk to objects.
I don't think we've all gone mad. I just think that maybe we are returning to something latent in the human brain that has been neglected over a period of centuries and we may be coming back around to that. We talk to our waifus and sometimes we subconsciously hear them talk back to us. I don't find an issue with that at all. People do it with things all the time. It's apparently natural and as I stated, a pretty damn old practice. Don't be ready to admit yourselves just yet.

Hmm, I’m curious. It seems to me this animas, as you put it, or at least the type that deals with a specific character or being may come to life due to our brain creating a separate mind/personality. And if this the case then said ‘person’ would be just as real as you and I. Just minus the body.
Although I must be frank, that I don’t have much knowledge of the specifics of split personalities.
I'll buy in once the dolls can walk, talk, and do stuff on their own. Waiting on Japan and China to get that done. I've never seen Nitro Plus Blasters before, looks cool. Wish I had time to play.
