The best pistachios I have ever had, came onto the markets in Australia - I have no idea of who the grower, ditributor, importer, or retailers were.... NOTHING.
But they were Iranian.
They were BIG, they were very salty - with large crystals and they tasted as if the water they were soaked in, was from clean brackish salty marsh water - fuck they were very tasty...............
It's like the difference between clean filtered tap water, and really clean fresh water from a mountain stream...... full of tannin and organic matter...... The water tastes GOOD.
But since the idea was to split the nuts by soaking them, and preserving them and flavouring them up for eating, they were soaked in very salty water...
And good clean brackish marsh water - it's what I imagined anyway....
Fuck they were NICE.
Then they just disappeared and the tastless, tiny, American pistachios replaced them.......
Probably the JEWS running blockades and sanctions against the people of Iran.....
Fuck them.
