I have a theory myself: now that "traditionalism" is the new black, maybe the rise of women in this particular male space (so to speak) have done what always happens when women intrude upon, invade, or appropriate "male spaces", which is to basically dull and ruin it. There's the tree house story; the about the boys that built a tree house and were forced to share with girls. Boys Scouts, games, action movies, etc. Not saying women are bad, but when women started coming into this kind of content for clicks, attention, "the grift", etc, the natural course is that it will simply deteriorate in popularity.

Never mind that being "traditional" has itself become a kind of titillation for thirsty men, and the adage remains: all men are just a blowjob away from returning to the plantation.
