Hmmmm any references to the time, place and event?
Found it:
"Filmed in Brazil by a Lumiere company cameraman. The video is strikingly naturalistic in its depiction of a staged pistol duel. The clue is that a real duel had taken place the day before and the people involved in the filming were very familiar with the subject.
Or
"Pistol Duel between two deputies in 1896 in Chapultepec Park (Mexico). The film was directed by Gabriel Veyre and is called 'Duel au pistolet'.
Or
MEXICO CITY
This is a recreation of real duel that happened the day before, in which one of the man has lost his life. Lumiere got a permission from local authorities to recreate this event.
