I think the overall design was sound and robust - but if you watch the video closely, and think about this that there was a 15 year waiting list to get one of these under the Soviet regime, and the factory output was ONLY 150,000 units per year - then there is a HUGE amount of opportunities - in the entire operation - to get a better product to the customer, faster and with a much shorter waiting list say - no more than 3 months and to rapidly expand and increase the factory output.
