How To Cause Mass Starvation in a Democracy in 3 Easy Steps
Step 1: People demand free shit and refuse to pay for it with higher taxes. The riot if the government cuts spending or raises taxes, meaning that the only way the government can avoid riots is to fool the people into thinking they're getting something for nothing, thus they create central banks to cause inflation to get people to unknowingly pay for the spending they demand via inflation.
Step 2: As the inflation works its way through the economy, people complain about the price of basic neccisities like food becomming too expensive and demand the government set price controls on such items. Th effect of these price controls is to set the price below that which the markets would otherwise bear, and the result is shortages ... lots and lots of shortages.
Step 3: There is no more food as producers cannot earn a living by producing it anymore. This leads to one of two outcomes: Either the people are left to starve and fend for themselves (The Venezuela Model), or the people are enslaved by their governmnet and FORCED to work on state-owned farms (as well as other neccisary industries) for free or else be shot to death by the dictator who takes charge (in the name of the people of course).

Romans had slavery, not sure if they had startvation, maybe they killed the excess slaves...
You are 100% right you filthy little monkey
which one will America go through?
Yup. I’ve been seeing friends who I now know not to associate with posting similar things that I would lead to mass starvation. They even thought that growing your own food on your own land was dumb so I know not to tell them I’m already growing on my land. They’ll gladly demand daddy government save them and they won’t understand when the food producers who aren’t making money to keep their operations up have to close up because they can’t afford to keep the operations going.
